The annual Tomb-sweeping Festival is here again. It is a festival established by the ancestors of the Chinese to keep children and grandchildren from forgetting their roots. There is a root in Chinese culture, which is deeply rooted in Chinese soil.The root is surnames of every family! Every family has its own clan ancestral hall or genealogy.Surnames are just like vines. Knowing our roots and where we come from, we can continue generation after generation!It is a tradition to visit the graves to worship our ancestors.The moment you are in front of the ancestors’ grave, you can't help thinking of who you are,kneeling down unconsciously and kowtowing respectfully. As a Chinese, we must remember where we come from and never forget our origin!
